WyseBase is providing a range of products to support the construction of a new sustainability energy plant in Lostock, Bolton.

Main contractor Algeco chose WyseBase for a three-storey modular setup for office space while works are being carried out on site. The WyseBase team were tasked with providing the appropriate temporary foundations to carry the loads of the building. Other facilities included access steps and a ramp.

Mike Collier, Regional Manager, commented: “WyseBase was chosen because of the capability of the foundations to carry the higher kilonewton loadings generated from a three-storey setup. Being sustainable on-site is a priority for the client, and because WyseBase foundations are fully carbon neutral and made from recycled materials, it ticked all their boxes and was the perfect solution for the requirements.

“With WyseBase, there is no breaking of ground, or any reinstatement once works are finished.”

WyseBase uses a unique stacking system that allows for easy and efficient installation – which meant work could get started faster. “All the foundations had been installed in one day, which saved time for the client.”

The project is currently expected to take 52 weeks.
