The WyseBase team pulled out all the stops to provide temporary foundations at a school in Southampton in just one day.

The temporary foundations, steps and access ramp were installed in the playground to accommodate new modular classrooms, supplied by Pickerings.

The installation happened at the last minute, when a call was made to ensure students had safe access when they arrived at school the next day.

“The job was done by a two-man team working long hours on a Sunday to get it completed for the children to return to school and use the building Monday morning,” said Mike Collier, Business Development Manager. “As well as completing the foundations in record time, we were also able to install an access ramp. The school were amazed at how quickly we could get on site and provide a safe, secure entrance fit for purpose to be used the very next day.”

It wasn’t all plain sailing for the WyseBase team, as the logistics of the site provided to be a challenge, installing the foundations in a tight access space.

“I am very proud of the team. This job illustrates that we can provide a carbon neutral alternative to traditional concrete footings for portable buildings, but not only that – we can do it within 24 hours.
